This week I’ll be highlighting a few of the biggest movies & TV shows heading to a service near you, including the highly anticipated Loki finale and HBOMax’s upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Check ’em out:

Tom Hiddleston in Loki

Loki Season 1 Finale

Marvel fans are sitting pretty right now. Between The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Black Widow and the upcoming Loki finale, there’s plenty of MCU content to go around. Loki will air a sixth finale episode this Wednesday, July 14th. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks like the God of Mischief will have a chance to finally get to the bottom of the mysterious powers behind the TVA. Fans can tune in to the season one finale of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki on Disney+, where it will be released on streaming this Wednesday.

Karen Gillian in Gunpowder Milkshake

Gunpowder Milkshake

Netflix is back this week doing what it does best, releasing a ton of original content. One of the larger titles heading to the streaming giant is Navot Papushado‘s Gunpowder Milkshake. The upcoming female-assassin flick features an all star cast of hit-women, including Karen Gillian, Lena Heady, Carla Gugino, and Angela Bassett. From the trailer, it looks like Gunpower Milkshake will feature plenty of John Wick-esque badassery from the female led cast, which rocks. Check out Gunpowder Milkshake on Netflix when it releases on Wednesday, July 14th.

James Badge Dale in The Empty Man

The Empty Man

David Prior’s The Empty Man became a sleeper cult hit earlier this year when it finally released on VOD. Plagued by problems in post production, the film was ultimately shelved by 20th Century Studios in 2017. Eventually, The Empty Man made its way to theaters in October of 2020, close to the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite a weak box office performance, some have latched onto the film, calling it a cult classic in the making. Check out this spooky detective thriller when The Empty Man hits HBOMax on Friday, July 16th.

A Classic Horror Story - via Netflix

A Classic Horror Story

Over the past few years Netflix has expanded into foreign films. Later this week the streamer will release A Classic Horror Story from Italian directors Roberto De Feo and Paolo Strippoli. Filled with moody lighting and homages to great horror films of yore, A Classic Horror Story blends horror genres to offer audiences a freaky, but fun trip through iconic horror scenes and scenarios. A Classic Horror Story releases on Netflix Tuesday, July 13th.

Lebron James in Space Jam: A New Legacy

Space Jam: A New Legacy

Later this week the Tune Squad will reunite, led by newcomer (and NBA Star) Lebron James in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The long-awaited follow-up to 1996’s Space Jam features an all-star cast with Don Cheadle, Zendaya and more attached. Watch the Tunes take on the Goons one more time this Thursday, July 15th, when Space Jam: A New Legacy Releases on HBOMax.
