North, the NCIS prequel stars Austin Stowell as young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Kyle Schmid as Mike Franks, Mariel Molino as Lala Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Mary Jo Hayes, Diany Rodriguez as Vera Strickland, Caleb Foote as Randy Randolf, and Mark Harmon as present-day Gibbs.
The season continues in the early 1990s as Gibbs works with Mike Franks and the Camp Pendleton team on new investigations while his relationship with Lala continues to develop.
