  • In 2021, there was increasing demand for Action & Adventure and Thriller movies and a decline in demand for feel-good and family-friendly films.
  • Streaming services increased their investments in Documentary, Family, and Animation movies by the end of 2021 as the pandemic was still peaking, although this hasn’t translated into increased consumption of these titles. 
  • Prime Video leads the ranking of the most extensive Action & Adventure catalogs. Meanwhile, HBO Max leads with the most streaming activity, with a gain of 9 share points. 
  • Prime Video and Netflix continue leading the SVOD ranking with the largest catalogs and most-streamed Thriller movies.
