Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand star as a mother-son duo who embark on a road trip together in an effort to help get Andy’s (Rogen) invention sold in stores. What follows is a journey full of love, laughter, and even a few tears.

Starring Eva Mendes and Cierra Ramirez, Girl in Progress is a film about a young single mom raising her teenage daughter. This is a coming of age film not only for daughters but for moms as well. A beautiful heartfelt film that will make you wonder why it took you this long to give it a watch.

Based on the revered novel by legendary writer Toni Morrison, Beloved stars Oprah Winfrey, Danny Glover, and a fresh-faced Thandie Newton.
The Meddler – Starz
Susan Sarandon’s second appearance on this list comes as Marnie, the mother of a young woman who is moving to Los Angeles. Marnie has a little bit of trouble keeping her nose out of other people’s business, and this extends not just into her daughter’s life, but to the other people that she meets in her new city.
Magic Mike – Netflix
I mean, your mom deserves it, okay? Just give her this. (Plus it’s actually a really good movie… seriously.)

The relationship between Lady Bird and her mother is one of the core reasons this movie got so much awards show buzz. The scene where the two are arguing in a thrift shop one moment and then fawning over a cute dress in the next breath is so relatable that I literally can’t even.
