With Kelsey Grammer and Kristen Bell in top billing as father/daughter duo, you know you’re in for a treat. From the looks of things, this Netflix original film is sure to make us laugh and cry at the same time.

Emelie

What’s so terrifying about this psychological thriller is that the primary victims are young children, something that is hard to shake. But if you’re into horror, Emelie looks like one to watch.

Get Shorty (1995) is about a mobster-turned-Hollywood-producer. Starring Rene Russo, John Travolta, Delroy Lindo, Danny DeVito and Gene Hackman. This comedy was such a big hit, that ten years later they produced the equally-funny sequel Be Cool, with an updated castIf you get the chance, it is well worth checking both of these out.

Marshall

Our Picks:

Marshall

Marshall, as the title suggests, is a biopic about a young Thurgood Marshall working as council for the NAACP. Marshall would go on to become the first black judge to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States. The film boasts a healthy 83% at Rotten Tomatoes.

Casual Season 3

It’s hard to believe that this addicting original comedy series from Hulu is already entering into its third season. The show has already been renewed for a fourth and final season.

The Nutty Professor

Our Picks:

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang came at the verge of Robert Downey Jr’s comeback tour, and is about a small-time criminal who manages to land a big movie part by mistakenly being in the right place at the right time. As research for the role, producers place him with a cop, played to hilarious degree by Val Kilmer.

It’s Complicated

If you happened to see the sequel to Mama Mia today and are still thirsting for more Meryl (and let’s face it: who isn’t?) — then HBO has got a cure for that. Check out It’s Complicated, a super cute romantic comedy starring Streep, Steve Martin, and Alec Baldwin.
