Sci-fi films come in all forms: from time travel to alien wars to alternate dimensions and more. With so many big budgets and big name actors, it can be difficult for any science fiction movie to make waves.

But no matter what micro-genre you’re into, there are definitely some amazing free options available for your sci-fi streaming pleasure.

Soldier versus bug: that is basically the core tenant of 1997 sci-fi film Starship Troopers. While the premise sounds like it could be pretty campy, it is actually surprisingly, shockingly well done.

Repo! The Genetic Opera is a musical set in a universe where human organs (and more) sell for the highest price and immortality is the ultimate goal.
