I Kill the Bear (2026) Synopsis
I Kill the Bear follows the Thibault family, who have spent more than 100 years training bears for movie productions. Living deep in the Canadian wilderness, this fourth-generation Franco-Ontarian family has built its identity around an extraordinary profession. However, changing attitudes toward animals in entertainment threaten their traditional way of life. The family decides that their latest Hollywood production will be their final bear-wrangling job. Despite their kindness and good intentions, the Thibaults struggle to understand the complicated world of modern filmmaking. Their unfamiliarity with Hollywood culture creates awkward encounters, unexpected challenges, and hilarious misunderstandings. Created by Jared Keeso, this comedy explores family loyalty, cultural differences, and the end of a century-old tradition.
