Did Someone Happen to Mention Me? is a 2026 Japanese comedy-drama series starring Koji Yakusho, Kento Kaku, Kenichi Matsuyama, Masatoshi Hamada, and Noriko Eguchi.
The story follows Gen Takasegawa, a successful Japanese actor who becomes the first performer from Japan to take a leading role at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. After spending two years away from his home country, Gen finally returns to Japan, only to discover that nobody remembers him.
With his fame, reputation, and identity seemingly erased, Gen must adjust to a completely different life. He begins working at a struggling sauna, reconnects with people from his past, and looks for opportunities to return to acting.
As he tries to rebuild his career, Gen also faces unresolved family relationships and questions about who he is without the recognition he once enjoyed.
