American Classic (2026 TV Series) Synopsis
American Classic is a 2026 series that follows Broadway star Richard Bean, a famously self-involved performer whose very public meltdown sends him back to his hometown and the family-run theater where his ego first took root. What he finds is not the respected stage he remembers, but a struggling dinner theater run by his brother Jon and Jon’s wife Kristen, who is now the town’s mayor. Determined to reclaim his legend and “save” the theater, Richard insists on mounting a great American classic that he will direct and star in, setting off a messy, funny chain reaction of old grudges, buried secrets, and small-town pressure that forces the whole Bean family to face what fame did to them.
