Meesaya Murukku 2 Synopsis
Meesaya Murukku 2 is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language musical comedy-drama film directed and written by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi. Produced by Avni Movies and Benzz Media, the film is a spiritual successor to the 2017 film Meesaya Murukku and draws inspiration from Adhi’s life and musical journey.
The film stars Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Ketika Sharma, Chaithra J. Achar, and Ramya Ranganathan, alongside Harshath Khan, Shah Ra, Karunas, and Nassar. Its story follows three generations of musicians whose ambitions are connected by their shared passion for music and their family’s legacy.
At the centre of the story is Jeeva, a young Gaana singer who dreams of taking his music beyond its local roots and reaching audiences around the world. However, his personal struggles, romantic disappointment, and a confrontation force him to reconsider his choices and ambitions.
As Jeeva learns about the sacrifices made by his father, Siva, and the musical legacy of his grandfather, he begins to understand the importance of his family’s history. Their experiences encourage him to take his music more seriously and work toward a career in the industry.
Determined to overcome social barriers and his own shortcomings, Jeeva continues pursuing his musical ambitions. His journey focuses on family relationships, perseverance, and the effort to bring recognition to Gaana music while honouring the generations that came before him.
