Adopting St. Nick (2026) Synopsis
Maren is a devoted single mother who spends most of her time raising her adopted daughter, Leah, and managing the hardware store she inherited from her late father. Although she enjoys helping her neighbors repair almost anything, her demanding responsibilities leave little room for romance or personal happiness. Everything begins to change when Leah joins the Christmas Companions program at Jolly Acres, a retirement community where children build meaningful friendships with older residents. Missing the presence of a grandfather, Leah forms an immediate bond with Kris, a cheerful gentleman whose striking resemblance to Santa Claus makes their friendship even more magical. Meanwhile, Maren meets Reid, the community’s traveling operations director, whose busy career has prevented him from settling down and finding a place to call home. When a contractor unexpectedly abandons the community room renovation, Maren offers her skills to save the Christmas program, bringing her closer to Reid and helping both discover the importance of accepting love and support. As Christmas approaches, Maren, Reid, Leah, and Kris discover that family is not always defined by blood, and sometimes the greatest holiday gift is finding somewhere you truly belong.
