The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life Synopsis
Rein Garland works as an enchantment mage, using his abilities to strengthen the equipment belonging to his guild. Despite everything he has contributed, Rein is unexpectedly dismissed from the guild. Rather than allowing his former companions to keep the benefits of his magic, he reclaims every enhancement he placed on their gear. That decision gives Rein access to the immense power he had previously distributed among others. He begins his new adventure carrying only basic equipment, but his reclaimed abilities completely change his prospects. What initially looks like a crushing setback therefore becomes Rein’s opportunity to discover just how powerful he can be on his own. His second chance sets up an overpowered fantasy adventure built around freedom, reinvention and starting again after rejection.
