The Box is a British celebrity game show built around mystery, pressure and unpredictable challenges. Ten famous contestants enter individual yellow boxes without knowing where they are being taken. When the doors finally open, they discover a mystery location and a challenge waiting outside. The tasks can be physical, mental, logical, funny or daunting, meaning contestants cannot rely on one particular skill. They receive little or no instruction and must work out what the challenge requires before deciding how to tackle it. At the end of each episode, the two weakest performers face one another in The Duel, where survival in the competition is at stake. The loser is eliminated, gradually narrowing the field as the remaining celebrities continue their unpredictable journey.
