Movies and Shows that Overlap on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime

As major streaming service providers like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime start to rely more on their original and exclusive content to keep subscribers watching, it’s interesting to see how much of their titles are still shared between all three video libraries. So Reelgood pulled the numbers and put together Venn diagrams that illustrate the overlap in content.

In terms of how massive each of their movie repertoires is, regardless of quality, Amazon very clearly trumps Netflix and Hulu by the thousands—with Prime’s library almost 8x the size of Hulu’s and more than 3x the size of Netflix’s.

Netflix comes in second with 3,861 while Hulu lags behind with 1,646.

The overlap between Hulu and Amazon titles is quite a big figure, with 530 of Hulu’s movie titles also available via Prime. That’s already 32% of Hulu’s entire movie library.

Meanwhile, Netflix shares 277 movies with Prime, less than 10% of its movie library. Hulu and Netflix share 52 titles, and all three share only 7 movies.
