Sherlock & Daughter is a 2025 American mystery drama television series created by Brendan Foley, with James Duff serving as showrunner. Based on the Sherlock Holmes characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the series stars David Thewlis as Sherlock Holmes and Blu Hunt as Amelia Rojas, alongside Ardal O’Hanlon, Fiona Glascott, and Mary O’Driscoll.
Set in London in 1896, the story follows Sherlock Holmes as he investigates a dangerous criminal conspiracy involving a mysterious organisation known as the Red Thread. With his closest friends kidnapped and their lives at risk, Holmes finds himself facing a complicated case while being prevented from carrying out his investigation freely.
His situation changes when Amelia Rojas, a young American woman whose mother was recently murdered, arrives in London seeking answers about her family’s past. Amelia believes Sherlock Holmes could be her father and hopes he can help uncover the truth about her mother’s death.
