One Baby, Please! Synopsis
One Baby, Please! is a 2026 Canadian LGBTQ+ comedy series created by Karim Ahmed Adam and Adrian Neblett. The six-part series stars Adam and Neblett as Omar and Dieon, a married couple trying to start a family while dealing with the challenges of fertility treatments, surrogacy, cultural expectations, and their families’ involvement.
Omar is a relaxed Egyptian-Canadian man, while his husband Dieon is a more structured Barbadian-Canadian. Although they share the same dream of becoming parents, their different personalities create disagreements as they explore sperm testing, egg donation, and surrogacy.
Their families support their relationship and are excited about the possibility of grandchildren, but their involvement adds another layer of complications. Friends, relatives, and medical professionals also become part of the couple’s journey, offering advice and opinions about how they should build their family.
