Happiness Season 2 Synopsis
Happiness Season 2 is the second season of the New Zealand musical comedy series created by Kip Chapman and Luke Di Somma. The series stars Harry McNaughton as Charlie Summers, alongside Rebecca Gibney, Jessie Lawrence, Peter Hambleton, and Joel Granger.
The story follows Charlie Summers, a former Broadway director from New Zealand who returns to his hometown of Tauranga after circumstances force him to leave his career behind. Back home, his mother, Gaye Summers, persuades him to become involved with her local amateur theatre society.
Charlie must adjust to life away from Broadway while working with a community theatre group whose ambitions and personalities are very different from those he encountered in his professional career. The series follows his relationships with his family and fellow performers as he navigates small-town life and the challenges of putting on local productions.
The second season continues the story of Charlie and the theatre community in Tauranga.
