The story begins after Woody and his family head to Matthew’s ranch in Austin, Texas, following the collapse of his daughter’s wedding plans. Their stay becomes more complicated when Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac, reveals a secret about the two friends’ families, leading Woody to search for answers while Matthew considers a possible run for governor of Texas.
