Captive, also known by its original title Cautiva, is a 2026 Argentine Spanish-language drama miniseries directed by Paula Hernández and Jazmín Stuart and written by Hernández, Leonel D’Agostino and Pablo Lago. Inspired by a real case involving religious abuse in Argentina, the six-part series stars Carolina Kopelioff as Clara and Lorena Vega as Priora Cecilia, alongside Rita Cortese, Julieta Zylberberg, Valeria Lois, Tomás Wicz and Luis Ziembrowski.
The story follows Clara, a young woman who enters a cloistered convent to pursue her religious vocation. Inside, she finds herself living under the control of Mother Superior Cecilia, and after spending 15 years in the convent under psychological abuse and restrictions on her freedom, Clara escapes and begins rebuilding her life while seeking justice.
