Dr. Ángel lies buried beneath the collapsed hospital, unseen and unheard. While the army halts civilian rescue attempts, Pepín and his fellow UNAM students form volunteer brigades, crossing paths with Alicia, a mute woman searching tirelessly for her missing nephew. Inside the hospital, Dr. Carlos and the nurses — supported by Camila — risk defying military command in hopes of saving both Ángel and their patients.
At the same time, a journalist’s investigation reveals disturbing secrets about the army’s role and the ruthless Colonel Hernández, who enforces order with an iron hand. As the clock ticks down, the threat of a massive aftershock looms, endangering everything that has been salvaged from the ruins.
